I had the pleasure of working with a very talented young lady yesterday afternoon. She is aspiring to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts for her senior year in high school to focus on drama and opera and needed a head shot to put with her application. Not only is she very talented but she is beautiful and sweet as well. The school would be crazy not to accept her. Good luck Ms. "M"

The name is Bond = James Bond
Ok, it's actually not James Bond.....it's Lizzy and Kayla, my two oldest daughters! BUT they were dressed up in full spy gear for a very covert operation (which shall remain nameless) and I felt the need to document it for posterity (or possibly black mail at a later date). This was a very impromptu photo session (if you can even call it that) at midnight so forgive the bad lighting and just appreciate the humor in these images.
Notice the serial #'s from their "line up" photo.....

Wonder what they are up to?
Practicing their Matrix moves!

Who wouldn't want one of these for Valentines Day?
Chocolate, flowers and jewelry are all great gifts for Valentines Day. But who needs all of that when you have a tiny tot that is as cute as this??? Really, she was the most petite one year old with just two front teeth poking through. What could be cuter? I did have some difficulty getting her to be modest. She just wasn't crazy about keeping the feathers in her lap....they seemed to inhibit her ;-) But when you are as cute as this who's going to argue!!!

Little Cupid :)
What is cuter than a naked baby draped in feathers and pearls? The correct answer is "absolutely nothing"! I had the pleasure of photographing this little cutie on Saturday. Her attention span was very appropriate for a one year old. Which is just a nice way of saying she did not want to sit at all!!! There was a lot of chasing involved in this shoot but I had a blast and got some great shots. She was so funny with the feathers and pearls. And when I got the mirror out she became a true diva and was obsessed with her reflection.

Panera Bread sweet tea = good product photography
After Christmas I decided to take a couple of weeks off from shooting anything. I enjoyed the break the first day, but by day three I was going a little stir crazy without my canon in my hand. But after two solid months of shooting 4-5 sessions a week I stuck with my self imposed 2 week hiatus from my camera. It was not a good idea!!! Day one of having my camera back in my hands I found my self sitting at my daughters school fund raiser table taking shots of my Panera sweet tea (did I mention that I was supposed to be "manning" the table?). This alone was not so bad, but rushing home to edit the shots made me realize that a two week break from my camera is not in my best interest. So here is my first entry on my new blog site.....and it is of sweet tea. Anyone know someone at Panera? Maybe I could get a job as their food photographer :-)
